Condition

This silver print is in very good general condition. The corners and edges are very slightly worn. The four corners with pinholes due to the enlargement process. With a few handling marks and light creases all over the surface, only visible in raking light.

La monumentalité de la composition imaginée pour la salle du conseil du palais des nations est déjà présente  dans la photographie malgré la modestie de l'outillage. La proximité imposée au regard avec l'objet et l'ombre imposante des ailes qui envahissent l’image vise à amplifier la dimension morale du sujet représenté.
