Condition

Illustration is quite accurate for the gilding and creative decoration ; the velvet is more red than orange. Fine model, they have been joined again. The structure is solid, they both had at one stage some blocks which have been removed. The very interesting thing is the prestigius and royal provenance which has been found recently. They were part of the seat furniture delivered by Georges Jacob in 1784 for the Salon octogonal of the Pavillon de musique at the chateau de Montreuil in Versailles for the comtesse de Provence, sister_in-law of the king Louis XVI. All details of the provenance available on request Condition is fine with minor chips to the gilding. Some feet need to be re-enforced. The red velvet with some stains.
