Condition
The catalogue illustration is a fair representation of colour and tone.
Whilst this is a very decorative object it has undergone substantial restoration owing to previous damage. The body has old cracks and the gadrooned elements have a stained surface. The fluted stem has been both broken and cut and has been repositioned poorly. This could probably be improved where the cut has taken place.
It is a decorative item and should be viewed as such in this instance and in respect of the condition.
