  • Cross terminal with Christ in Majesty
  • gilt bronze, on a velvet covered wood mount

Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is wear to the gilding, particularly at the high points, including the nose and eyebrows and the knees. There is some staining and dryness to the bronze at the centre of the halo and the back of Christ's hair. There is a small hole to the top right of the halo. The figure is fixed to the mount with a small metal pin to the centre of the halo and a larger metal pin inserted into a hole at Christ's feet. There are a few small dents and nicks to the bronze, including at the sides. There is wear to the velvet cloth on the mount, particularly at the edges.
