monogrammed: DD or DE on the latch and the underside

Condition

Overall the condition of the casket is good with wear and some dirt to the surface consistent with age and handling. There are some losses and rubbing to the gilding, particularly around the handle, hinges, clasp, lower edge and underside. The iron surface is slightly corroded consistent with material. The latch is lifted to reveal the keyhole. The original key is present.
