- Lavabo Stand
- wrought iron, with a gilt copper bowl
- Italian or Spanish, 15th/ 16th century
Condition
Overall the condition of the iron is very good with wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age and handling. There is some light corrosion to the surface consistent with the material. The bowl has wear to the inside consistent with use, and a number of indentations and lacunae due to casting flaws and hammering. There is some wear to the gilding on the inside and the underside. There is some tarnishing inside the hammer marks on the side of the bowl.
