Overall the condition of the bronze is good with wear and some dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are traces of gilding in the crevices. There are traces of a black lacquer around the arms and to the reverse. There are a few minor casting flaws, including to the back of the right hand and the edges of the perizonium on the reverse. There is rubbing to the surface at the backs of the hands and the heel. There are two fittings for a now missing halo to the back of the head. There is a square aperture to the perizonium on the reverse.
