Condition

Overall the condition of the relief is good with some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age and handling with some minor rubbing to the high points. There are a few minor stable hairline splits to the top edge consistent with material. The surface of the back of the right edge is a little dry and there are a few scratches on the reverse. There are remnants of polychromy which would have represented the sun and the moon visible in the spandrels. There are remnants of two silver hinges to the left side. Two holes were drilled in the top edge for mounting.
