Condition
The canvas has been relined, with the paint surface flattened as a result. The paint surface is secure and stable. The colours are rich and vibrant. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals an even varnish and very minor retouchings to the upper part of the hair and the shading around the hand, as well as very few, very small, scattered retouchings on the chest. The work is largely free of retouchings and overall is in very good condition.
The work is offered in a gilt molded frame decorated with scrolling vine motifs, in good condition.
