Condition

The canvas has an old relining. The paint surface is secure and clean. There is good quality impasto throughout. The colours are vibrant. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals an even varnish and no signs of retouching. The work is in excellent condition. The work is offered in a gilt molded French Empire style frame, with a few minor knocks.
