Condition

The canvas has been recently relined. Good quality impasto is present in the face and hands. The varnish is cloudy and dirty but should clean well. The varnish fluouresces opaquely under ultraviolet light making it difficult to detect any retouchings. Overall the work is in good condition. The work is offered in a simple gilt molded frame, with a few knocks.
