Condition
The canvas has an old relining. The paint surface has been flattened. The paint surface is secure and clean. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals an even varnish and some retouchings to the armour of the soldier at the left, as well as some very small very few scattered retouchings confined to the lower third of the composition. Overall the work is in very good condition.
The work is offered in a gilt molded frame in good condition.
