Condition
The canvas has been relined. The paint surface is clean and has been slightly pressed. It is covered by an even varnish. There are some scattered dis-coloured retouchings in the foliage along the left margin.
Inspection under ultraviolet light shows a network of fine retouchings throughout the sky, and tiny dot retouching in the lower half of the picture. There are four denser areas of repair in the foliage along the left margin, as mentioned above, all small in size.
This lot is offered in a gold wood frame, with simple mouldings, with some very tiny chips to the gilding, but otherwise in good condition.
