Condition
Oil on panel. The work is comprised of two pieces of wood, which have been secured on the reverse by 3 butterflies. The panel join is somewhat visible to the naked eye, extending vertically top to bottom just to the left of the sitters head piece. The surface is clean, fresh and in very good condition. Under UV light, this join has been retouched. There are additional scattered dots of inpainting in the sitter's ruff. The rest of the work fluoresces a mottled green and obscures the majority of the panel.
