Condition
The painting has a firm wax relining that has somewhat flattened the paint surface. The varnish is clear and even, there are no major damages visible to the naked eye. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals some strengthenings in the fur of the dog and a small patch of restoration in the centre of the lower margin measuring 1 1/2 inches squared. In good overall condition.
This lot is offered in an elaborate carved and gilt wood frame in good condition.
