Description

  • Albert Lebourg
  • A seated man
  • Black and white chalk;
    signed and dated, lower left: A. Lebourg. 68. and bears inscription, verso: Montfort.

Condition

Hinge mounted. There is a band of discolouration that runs around the four corners of the sheet, created in all likelihood by an old mount. The edges of the sheet are somewhat uneven in places with small nicks throughout. There are two rectangular brown stains to the upper left and right corners as a result of the adhesive tape attached to the verso. There is some light staining and creasing to the sheet throughout. The chalk medium is slightly rubbed in places but still predominantly strong throughout.
