Catalogue Note

A newspaper advertisement of 1779 - thus after Myer Myers had left New York - announced the theft of "Ten Silver Tea Spoons, some of them plain, the rest gadrooned, all made by Myers, late of new-York, and marked as well with his mark" (Royal Gazette, November 13, 1779, cited Barquist, p. 131).
