Catalogue Note

Gorham's Martelé archives indicate that these three pieces were made on July 26, 1898 and had a net factory price of $313. The coffee pot took 65 hours to raise and 62 hours to chase, the creamer took 30 hours to make and 30 hours to chase, and the sugar bowl took 54 hours to make and 45 hours to chase. (Pristo, 2002, pp. 177-78).
