Catalogue Note
FIRST COMPLETE EDITION of the works of Aeschylus; six of the plays were first published by Aldus in 1518 (see lot 1), and the Agamemnon is published here in full for the first time. It had been found in a manuscript in Florence by two of Vettori's pupils in around 1552.
