Chancery folio (260 x 173mm.), 293 leaves (of 296, without 3 blank leaves), a8 (5-8)8 a-z A-D10, double column, 46 lines plus headline, gothic type, 11-line initial in gold with contemporary German coloured marginal decoration on a1, 2- to 8-line initials in red (some with marginal flourishes), red paraph marks, eighteenth-century pigskin-backed mottled calf, black morocco lettering-pieces, red speckled edges, n8-o2 repaired at lower corner, some worming in binding just affecting first and last leaves, upper cover slightly scraped
