thinly potted, the deep flaring sides rising from a short tapering foot to an everted rim, freely carved to the interior with an undulating leafy lotus scroll, the exterior undecorated, applied overall with a glossy ice-blue glaze

Provenance

On loan to the Birmingham Museum of Art, Birmingham, Alabama, 1988-2015. 

Condition

An extremely faint 0.5cm hairline to the exterior of the rim and a 0.2cm polishing rim chip. Numerous small chips to the foot ring. The surface slightly polished. The glaze of a more bluish tinge than as seen in the catalog image.
