Condition
Original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There are some very small scattered lines of craquelure, predominantly apparent in the sky area. There is an extremely small fleck of paint loss to the grey pigment at the centre of the house to the left vertical edge. There is some very light rubbing to some of the extreme edges of the canvas. The surface appears to be slightly dirty, with possible discolouration to the varnish in areas, and may benefit from a light clean. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is presented in an ornate painted wood and plaster frame.
