Condition
Not viewed out of the frame. The canvas appears sound. On very close examination it is possible to see some very minor rubbing and one or two fine lines of craqlueure around the extreme edges of the work. There are light pushes from the stretcher visible along all four sides of the work with some associated areas of paint cracking and a small fleck of loss in the upper right quadrant. There are some traces of light surface dirt in places. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The edges of the canvas have been taped. The work is float mounted and housed in a simple white wooden tray frame, held under glass.
