Catalogue Note
This beautifully shaped brushpot has a wide flat rim and a six-lobed body which shows well the attractive grain pattern of huanghuali wood. The base extends slightly beyond the body and is carved to echo the lobe-shape of the brushpot. There are three small feet at the rim, carved from the same piece of wood as the base.
