Condition

This painting has an old relining. To the naked eye the paint layer is quite dirty with a yellowing varnish, but there do not appear to be any major holes or damages visible to the naked eye. Under UV there is a confirmed dirty milky varnish, underneath which appears to be some scattered retouches in the central area of the sky, but the architecture does appear to be in good condition. This painting would benefit from a surface clean and restoration. In a carved giltwood frame.
