Condition
Oil on canvas, with an old sympathetic lining. The canvas is somewhat slack on the stretcher and there is some minor bumping to the canvas. There are discolored retouches visible at the upper left corner and two horizontal lines, potentially addressing a previous fold, in the background above the horse. An additional spot of retouching near the upper left corner. Abrasions to the background behind the horses' tail. An area of lifting with associated minor loss in the horses' trough. Under UV light, the previously mentioned discolored retouches fluoresce. There are additional scattered dashes of retouching to address the craquelure throughout the hay in which the horse stands and in the wood of the background. Two small dots of retouching in the horses hind quarters. Framed and ready to hang
