Condition
On mahogany panel in good condition; surface in generally good condition aside from fine, faint craquelure overall; faint pigment separation around head in background, a few minor pin dots of paint loss including a few on sleeve of proper right arm. Frame abrasion to all edges under the frame rabbit, particularly to the left edge. Under UV: There is a very thick and uneven varnish visible in raking light which masks any possible old retouches such as a few long, thin lines in upper right quadrant, which may be old retouch. There is a spot, approximately the size of a pencap, of inpainting between the proper right arm and the hip over the varnish.
