Condition
The canvas is relined. Overall the work is in very nice condition with fresh colors and a clean varnish. Some very minor dots of dark accretion scattered over the surface. UV light reveals minimal but scattered retouches in the sky mostly along the top edge from old frame abrasion. The mast on left boat has retouches. More generalized retouching throughout craquelure in water. Possible old puncture just above flag in left foreground. In a carved gilt wood frame.
