Condition

Oil on canvas, with an old lining. The surface is clean and fresh. A stable web of craquelure with some very minor texture is visible. Stretcher bar marks visible. Some minor scattered areas of thinness, especially in the white tablecloth at lower left. Under UV light, there are scattered spots of retouching throughout, especially visible in the white tablecloth at lower left. The majority of the work remains covered in a green fluorescing varnish. Dots of retouching to the harpsichord, the back of the seated figure and her costume, and the area in the upper right corner near the edge above the figures head. Otherwise a few small scattered spots throughout the picture.
