comprising an armchair and five side chairs, with turned and panelled top rails over trellis-work backs with downswept arms and turned supports, cane panelled seats and turned legs decorated in gilt on a black ground, with pink cushions

Condition

In country house condition, the side chairs with distressed painted decoration, two chairs with construction needing strengthening. Losses, marks and scratches consistent with age and use, marks of old woodworm activity, some areas redecorated, craquelure throughout. Armchair with repaired breaks to back and arm supports.
