Description

- 81cm high., 97cm wide, 49cm deep; 2ft. 7¾in., 3ft. 2in., 1ft. 7¼in.
with a moulded veined marble top above a bowed frieze drawer inlaid with the trophies of Love and floral sprays, the curved corners with gilt-bronze drapery swags serpentine sides inlaid with a floral swag, on turned tapering legs inlaid to simulate fluting joined by a galleried shaped shelf inlaid with floral sprays, on gilt-bronze toupe feet; the reverse with the printed paper label Earl of Rosebery

Condition
In overall good conserved condition.The marble top is slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. There are some very minor chips along the rear edge which are not too noticeable and some old marks chips and scratches to the top. There is some minor rubbing to the gilt-bronze mounts. The front drawer is slightly more faded than the rest but can be repolished according to taste. There is a hairline horizontal crack in the left-side and a horizontal and vertical crack in the stretcher with some other scattered hairline cracks which would benefit from some minor attention. There is a 3 x 2cm approx. section of veneer missing from the stretcher but this can easily be restored. There is also a break to the right side of gilt-bronze gallery but this is hardly noticeable. There are some old very minor restorations to the veneer.
