- 74cm. high, 66.5cm. wide, 30cm. deep; 2ft. 5in., 2ft. 2¼in., 11¾in.
of serpentine form with a russet and grey marble top, the pierced frieze centred by a scallopshell suspending berried laurel swags, on legs carved with scrollwork, leaves and husks joined by a stylised foliate motif, the whole carved with acanthus, rocaille and foliage; regilt
Condition
In overall good conserved condition. Very minor infill to the marble top. There is a restored break to one leg but this has been well executed and is not too noticeable. Old very minor marks and chips to the gilding and some minor losses as visible from the catalogue photograph which can easily be touched up.
