Description

  • kingwood, amaranth, bois satine, bronze, marble
  • 87cm. high, 110cm. wide, 62cm. deep; 2ft. 10¼in., 3ft. 7¼in., 2ft. ½in.
of serpentine bombé form with a mottled russet white and grey marble top above two drawers inlaid with a parquetry cartouche, the quarter-veneered sides with a quatrefoil, the scrollwork mounts bearing the crowned ç poinçons; probably partially reveneered and restored

Condition

In overall good conserved condition, The marble top has been restored. Old minor marks, chips and scratches to the marble top and generally commensurate with age and normal usage. Some very minor lifting of the veneer in places with a medium sized chip to the rear of the left side. There is evidence of previous mounts on the front of the drawers.
