Description

  • gold, platinum, onyx, jade, enamel, duiamond
The Chinoiserie double-strand design composed of onyx beads, gathered at the sides by two jade panels carved with floral motifs, joined by a black jade loop, highlighted with black enamel and decorated with single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.30 carats, length 36 inches, signed Cartier; circa 1925.

Condition

In very good condition. The carved jade plaques are medium light green with darker mottling. The gold segments decorated with enamel exhibit some very minor tarnishing, consistent with age. The diamonds are approximately I-J color, VS clarity. The knots between the onyx beads are slightly frayed and the necklace could benefit from a re-stringing.
