Description
- amber, cord
Composed of 25 barrel-shaped amber beads, internally carved with floral motifs, the beads measuring approximately 38.7 by 28.2 mm to 25.2 by 18.1 mm, length 47 inches.
Condition
In good condition. The barrels are symmetrical in shape and nicely graduated in size. Several of the beads display a darker amber hue though the color is generally harmonious. The beads are all intact though a few exhibit cracking and pits with few examples of larger cracks, not apparent when worn. There is no clasp and the cord which secures the beads together is in generally good condition and exhibits very minimal fraying. A hot pin test elicited a scent typical of amber.
