The necklace set at the front with five oval-shaped and cushion-cut rubies weighing 31.41 carats, framed and accented by round diamonds weighing approximately 31.25 carats, internal circumference 15½ inches, signed David Webb; together with a ring of similar design, centered by a cushion-cut ruby weighing 5.30 carats, accented by round diamonds weighing approximately 6.65 carats, size 6, signed David Webb.
Condition
In very good condition. The rubies are a richly saturated medium slightly purplish red and they range in clarity from lightly to moderately included. A few of the rubies exhibit very minor nicks under magnification, but these are not eye-visible. The diamonds are approximately F-H color, VS clarity. The ring is fitted with an internal sizing band. Accompanied by two AGL reports: No. CS 69946/1-5 stating that the five rubies in the necklace are of Burmese origin, with indications of heating. No. CS 69945 stating that the ruby in the ring is of Burmese origin, with indications of heating. Please note that parties with a direct or indirect interest in this lot may be bidding on this lot.
