Designed as a chain of rectangular, oval and circular links supporting a lozenge-shaped pendant, decorated with ten cultured pearls measuring approximately 10.4 to 11.8 mm, set at intervals with round diamonds weighing approximately 36.75 carats, length 25½ inches, the necklace separates into three segments of equal length for variety of wear; pendant detachable; signed Van Cleef & Arpels, N.Y., numbered 44689. With signed pouch.
Condition
In good condition with some light scratching and nicking to the gold links, commensurate with wear. The off-round to button-shaped cultured pearls have a silvery white body color with moderate rose and green overtones, good luster and minute to minor blemishing mainly in the form of pitting. The diamonds are approximately E-F color, VVS-VS clarity. The necklace bears a nice heft with gross weight approximately 154 dwts. Length approximately 25 1/2 inches, pendant detachable. The necklace can be separated into three segments and can be worn as a shorter necklace or as bracelets, allowing for variety of wear.
