Description
- star sapphire, diamond, platinum
Centring on a colour-changing star sapphire weighing 24.50 carats, to prongs and shoulders pavé-set with circular-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 1.95 carats, mounted in platinum. Ring size: 6¼
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to GRS report, the colour-changing star sapphire is natural, of Ceylon origin, with no indication of thermal treatment. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, this star sapphire shows a distinct asterism (star effect) under spot lighting, with noticeable colour-change effect, from blue under daylight, to purple tone in incandescent lighting. Under 10x loupe, there are fine silks and a few small crystal inclusions, not seen to naked eyes. Diamonds are about F to G colours, VS clarity.
Condition: Platinum ring mount, in very good condition.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report.
