Condition
Not viewed out of the frame. Oil on original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There are some minor frame abrasions at each corner of the canvas. There is an extremely minor push to the lower right corner of the work. There is a very small area of paint loss to the right shoulder of the painted figure on the right. There is some scattered studio detritus and surface dirt across the work. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of retouching.
The work is float-mounted and presented in a simple painted black wooden frame.

The present lot portrays Jeremy King and Chris Corbin. Business partners for over 30 years, they have created some of London's most iconic and best-loved restaurants. In the early 1990s they were responsible for relaunching The Ivy.
