Condition
The card appears sound. There are some minor losses and abrasions to the edges of the card, most probably due to a previous frame, as well as a small area of detritus on the left hand vertical edge, possibly from a previous mount, visible only when viewed unframed. There are some minor losses in the lower right quadrant, most apparent on and around the yellow boat. There is some reticulation and very minor craquelure in the white impasto areas of paint, and the surface of the white painted area in the lower central area appears uneven, most likely in accordance with the artist's working method. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is framed and glazed, housed in a simple painted wooden frame.
