Condition
Oil on original canvas. Not viewed unframed. There is a tiny spot of paint cracking in the white pigment to the left of the boar's head, just below its eye. There is some very minor studio detritus throughout the work. The oil paint seems strong and stable and, subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals areas of florescence which appear to be consistent with the artist's working materials.
The work is framed and glazed, housed in a gilt and painted wood and plaster frame.
