Condition

The sheet is fully laid down onto a supporting board. When viewed out of the mount it is possible to see that the pigments of the work have faded considerably. This is probably as a result of exposure to ultraviolet light. There are creases and small tears at the extreme edges of the sheet, only visible when viewed out of the mount. Subject to the above the work appears to be in good overall condition. The watercolour is presented in a book window mount and gilt and painted frame.
