8vo (169 x 112mm.), FIRST EDITION, frontispiece and 61 illustrations by Enrico Mazzanti, 4pp. publisher's adverts at end, original red cloth, the upper cover with two gilt bands, lettered in gilt, collector's red morocco box, recased and endpapers renewed, joints repaired, boards slightly rubbed, some professional restoration internally including repairs to marginal tears and in text on p.65 and p.419, some strengthening at gutter and reinserted leaves, illustration on p.101 partially inked in, contemporary ownership inscription ("Al suo piccolo amico | Ugo 14 Marzo '83 Pagano") on title-page (trimmed), overall browning and minor soiling
