Condition
This work is in beautiful condition. The canvas has never been removed from its original stretcher. The paint layer has never been cleaned or varnished. Although there are about a dozen small losses on the extreme edges of the painting, especially along the bottom edge, there is no damage to the painting itself except for a small spot in the water fall in the lower right. The canvas has relaxed slightly over time, but if the stretcher were tightened, the work could be hung as is. Varnishing the work is not recommended, and cleaning does not seem necessary.
