Condition
This work on canvas has been backed with a thin fabric applied with a non-wax adhesive. This fabric has also been incorporated onto the tacking edges. The reason for this support on the back seems to be a vertical restoration in the upper left side of the picture near the left edge, which addresses a thin break in the canvas. Within the remainder of the picture, there do not appear to be any other restorations or
damages. The condition elsewhere seems to be perfect. The restoration in this one area is quite good, and the work can certainly be hung in its current state. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
