This work is painted on an unprimed piece of linen. The tacking edges have been reinforced and the work is on a new stretcher, but the canvas is unlined. The inscription in the lower left may have been restored slightly, as some of it reads strongly under ultraviolet light. It does not seem that there are any retouches within the remainder of the picture. There is slight weakness to the paint layer in the center, and the thin paint is slightly distressed. The unpainted canvas has developed slight stains in the upper right and upper left. Overall, the condition is good for a work of this kind, and the painting should be hung in its current state.
