Catalogue Note

A pioneer of geometric art in his native country of Venezuela, Alejandro Otero produced a limited amount of works on wood, the vast majority of which are today found in public collections. Executed with immaculate perfection using industrial paint on a vertical wooden structure, Tablón 30 is a sophisticated rendition of Otero's chromatic investigations into the realm of abstraction first explored in his Coloritmos from the 1950s.
