Description
- bronze
cast with a slightly rounded central section bordered with a band enclosing an apocryphal four-character Xuande mark flanked by ruyi motifs, resting on a short splayed foot and surmounted by a short waisted neck, the neck bordered with an incised border of stylised floral scrolls and flanked by a pair of ruyi scroll handles, the base centered with a mallow flower, the bronze of a dark brown colour
Condition
There is a an approx. 4 cm cracked area to the rim, possibly an aggravation of original casting imperfection. The incense burner is in overall good condition with just minor scratches to the body, general surface wear, as consistent with age.
