An Italian pale green lacquered and parcel-gilt armchair, Turkish or made in France for the Turkish market, circa 1750

with a tapering cartouche shaped padded back, arms and feet on cabriole legs terminating in scrolled feet, the frame carved with flowers, leaves and scrolls

In overall good original condition. Joints sound and sturdy. Some very minor chips to carving and minor wear to decoration in places. Evidence of old very minor worm which appears to be no longer active. The back is now fixed with four metal screws and may originally have been drop-in.
