of serpentine bombé form, the top decorated to simulate marble above two long drawers, the handles carved with rocaille on cabriole legs, the whole carved with foliage, rocaille and scrolls and painted with sprays of polychrome flowers
Condition
In overall good conserved condition. There are some chips to the decoration with a medium size loss to the top and a horizontal construction crack which can easily be filled or left together with a further horizontal construction cracks and scattered age cracks generally as visible from the catalogue photograph. There is a minor triangular section of the frieze missing towards the rear right edge when facing which is not too noticeable. There are some old very minor restorations to the mouldings. There is a vertical construction crack down the left side which can either be filled or left. There has been some retouching to the painting generally. The lock plates are now missing.
